2015 Tebeau Hall

University Housing and Dining Services completed many projects related to the new Tebeau Hall in 2014. In addition to improvements to all sidewalks and street crossings serving Tebeau, UHDS also improved the sidewalks connecting Tebeau to the existing east side residence halls of Wilson, Callahan, and McNary. The McNary Plaza was also rebuilt, addressing significant slope issues that made navigating the area potentially difficult for some.

Tebeau Hall was designed and constructed to be a 100% adaptable building, far above and beyond the minimum number of rooms required to be accessible by the Americans with Disabilities Act. The shower in every suite is accessible, every sink is accessible, all kitchens have appliances and counters designed to be accessible, and many items were added behind walls so that adapting rooms is easy when the need arises. This building has become a model for how all future housing will be constructed to be as inclusive as possible.
